Over the past decades, due to insufficient experience and lack of recognition of Republican tendencies, it has not been possible for the Republican opposition to form a broad political coalition and assert itself in the Iranian political scene. During this period, Republican movements operated like different islands, far from each other, and for this simple reason they could not become a capable and recognized alternative in Iranian society. Now, after years of experience, the Joint Congress, in an analysis of the actual situation, has reached a new model for creating a broader political coalition among Republicans. This new model is the acceptance of actually existing movements and the recognition of intellectual tendencies and political factions among Republicans, which will be able to bring all Republican tendencies together around a dynamic program and become one of the factors of political change (political alternative) in Iran.

Another bitter experience is that both Democratic Republican and Federal Democratic factions have realized that none of these factions alone is capable of establishing a Republican political coalition to the extent that it can ultimately become a significant political alternative in Iran. Therefore, the only way left is to find proximity, cooperation and alliance of all Republican tendencies and then create a strategic council for the transition period from the tyranny of the Islamic Republic regime.

The second necessity that binds the different factions of Republicanism together blocks the risk of a return to monarchical reaction in Iran. With the dispersion of Republicans and in the event of the sudden collapse of the ruling regime, monarchists can use this opportunity to ascend to the pinnacle of political power and repeat the devastation in Iran again. Therefore, the unification of all Republicans to create a political alternative has become an inevitable necessity. And precisely for this reason, the cooperation and alliance of the two tendencies of Republicanism (those in favor of and against federalism) has become a vital matter in the current situation.

This is the path that Republicans must take in the current situation.
